We at SuperVista North America are a new division of an established German eyewear company, SuperVista AG, now bringing the brillen brand to the United States. Our first stores are already open in Orange County, and we are looking to expand rapidly!

We now need full-time ophthalmic technicians: one at our store in Huntington Beach, and one in Laguna Hills, currently open M-F 10am-6pm.

As a brillen Ophthalmic Technician, you will partner with a highly experienced Dispensing Optician for intake and pretesting for telehealth eye exams with a remote California OD; and also assist in the optical, including advising patients on flattering frame selection and the lens options which can best benefit them. Not very familiar with opticianry? We are happy to train if you are eager to learn!

What you’ll do:

-Perform intake and pre-testing: autorefractor, lensometry, tonometry, visual acuity, fundus photography, confrontation visual field testing, slit lamp photography.

- Assist customers in selecting frames & lenses that are best suited for them based on the patient’s vision needs & OD prescription. Suggest improvements & recommend solutions.

- Complete glasses orders thoroughly & accurately in a timely manner.

- Adjust and/or repair eyewear as needed.

- Basic operation, cleaning & ongoing maintenance of tools & systems.

- Assist returning customers with troubleshooting glasses and warranty services.

- Perform work accurately & thoroughly.

- Provide unsurpassed customer service to all customers and patients with every visit.

- Anticipate problems before they occur; explore underlying reasons for recurring problems; strive to develop long-term solutions to problems.

Desired Team Member

- HS diploma/GED

- 1+ year optical experience

- Skilled in optical pre-testing theory and equipment

- Comfortable with technology

- Good communicator & listener

- Strong basic math skills

- Professional attitude and appearance.

- Strong customer service skills.

- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.

- Detail oriented
